Ace of Swords

I had the privilege of co-directing the production of 'Ace of Swords,' a play created by Javi Mederos & Oscar J. Berlanga, in the spring of 2022. Together with Andres Larrea, we brought to life this captivating piece as part of FSU's first annual Spring Fringe Festival. Telling a farcical rendition of the tale of King Arthur, the production was an experience like no other, engaging the audience with a captivating performance in the round. Night after night, the show varied, with the audience voting on which actor plays which role, “and the ensuing comedy called for audience interaction and madcap hilarity”. It was thrilling to see the audience's reaction and engagement with the performance, with seats filling up each night and many returning for a second or third viewing to see how things would unfold this time. Our goal was to tell a story that would involve and engage the audience, and I believe we delivered on that.
